ISO (Organização Internacional para Padronização) é uma aliança global de organismos de normalização nacionais (Organismos membros da ISO). O desenvolvimento de normas internacionais geralmente é realizado por meio de comitês técnicos da ISO. Cada instituição membro interessada em um assunto no qual um comitê técnico foi estabelecido tem o direito de ser representado nesse comitê. Organizações governamentais e não governamentais internacionais em ligação com a ISO também estão envolvidas neste trabalho. There are three main surface treatments for aluminum and its alloys:

This document and ISO 18768-2 provide performance requirements and test methods for b) organic coatings.

It is assumed that users are familiar with other relevant international and regional standards. These standards should be respected, and this document uses an optional system in this context.
1 Faixa
This document specifies methods for specifying decorative and protective powder coatings on aluminum and its alloys. It defines the characteristic properties of powder coatings and provides a test method with minimum performance requirements, taking into account the application and erodibility of the environment in which the coated aluminum is located.
This document does not apply to aluminum coil coatings.
