Se utiliza para probar la resistencia al impacto de los recubrimientos en sub metal- Estratos.

De acuerdo con la norma ISO, el panel de prueba se fija en el troquel mediante un dispositivo de sujeción, para que la superficie del panel fuera del área de prueba no se vea afectada por la rápida deformación causada por la caída del peso.

El probador de impacto consta de un soporte de base sólida con un soporte de tubo guía. El tubo guía tiene una ranura que dirige un peso cilíndrico que se desliza hacia arriba y hacia abajo con el uso de un collar que encaja en el peso.

Graduations are marked along the slot to facilitate reading where the weight is dropped.The base of the instrument includes a die support.

The weights have built-in steel balls that provide different geometrical configurations.It is important that the ball diameter fits into the die to prevent shear- ing the test samples at the inner rim of the die.

In order to limit the indentation depth of the falling weight, distance rings of different thickness can be fitted.Also, different weights can be used.
