How to calculate the compressive strength of cartons?

Cartons are required to have a certain compressive strength, because after packing goods in the process of storage and transportation, the cartons stacked in the lower layer are under the pressure of the upper cartons. In order to avoid collapse, they must have appropriate compressive strength. The compressive strength of cartons is calculated by the following formula:

P = KW (n – 1)

In the formula, ص—- carton compressive strength, ن

دبليو—- Carton weight after loading, ن

ن —- Number of stacking layers

ك—- Stacking safety factor

The number of stacking layers n is calculated according to the stacking height H and the height of a single carton H, n=H/ H

Stacking safety factor is determined according to the number of layers of goods stacking. The national standard stipulates:

When the storage life is less than 30d, K=1.6

Take K=1.65 for the storage period of 30d-100d

When the storage life is greater than 100d, K=2.0
